Last month, we asked readers to send us their vote for the worst road in Sonoma County.

The winner — perhaps we should call it the loser — is Irwin Lane, a 1.6-mile, bucolic, rural road west of Santa Rosa, running from Highway 12 north to Hall Road.

Next was Old Redwood Highway between Petaluma and Penngrove, Frei Road north of Sebastopol and Lichau Road east of Rohnert Park.

Our survey was just informal, so you may know of even worse roads out there. Next week, we’ll report what county officials say — and plan to do — about such bad roads.

Although the polls are closed, feel free to add your own vote or comments.
