Caltrans on Monday plans to start repaving projects on stretches of Highways 1 and 116 that are expected to cause some traffic delays.

Crews will be repaving Highway 1 from just north of the town of Point Reyes to just north of Dillon Beach Road in Tomales. They’ll be working 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and the 15-mile project is expected to be done by the end of October.

Farther north on Highway 1, one-way traffic controls will be in effect 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday from Scotty Creek to the Russian River and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. from The Sea Ranch to Gualala for pavement repairs at various locations.

For Highway 116, crews will be repairing the road at various spots from the intersection of Highway 1 near Jenner to about Monte Rio. The work will be done 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday to Friday and is expected to take about two weeks,
