Five upcoming road projects in Sonoma County will make life easier for drivers.
Four of the projects involve asphalt overlays:
–Leveroni Road, from Arnold Drive to Sonoma city limits.
–Bodega Highway, from Jovini to Sexton roads.
–Mark West Springs Road, from Mark West Lodge west 1.3 miles.
–Bennett Valley Road, from Grange Road to Santa Rosa city limits.
Steve Urbanek, pavement preservation manager for the county roads department, said the work could be done this fall if the winter rains hold off; otherwise, it’ll be in the spring.
He said funding for the projects came from federal stimulus money left over from projects elsewhere in the Bay Area and diverted to Sonoma County by the Metropolitan Transporation Commission.
The fifth project will repair a 2006 landslide on Fort Ross Road near Smith Ridge Road that reduced Fort Ross Road to one lane there. The work also could be done this fall, depending upon weather.
Sleepless on Stony POint
Hey, How about fixing your chip seal mess on Stony Point Road? Over the last several years, there have been dozens of complaints about the noise created by the chip seal on Stony Point- no response. And no asphalt. Any plans to make an attempt to restore our peace and quiet?

The County is a joke, they will farm this work out to whom ever is on their buddy list and fabricate the paperwork to get away with it. They spend all their time in meetings to talk aboout how scred up they are instad of being active and fixing their problems. I’m sure glad I pay my taxes to these idiots
