Pothole repairs in the Highway 101 construction zone in Rohnert Park are slowing southbound traffic, starting around Highway 12 in Santa Rosa, the CHP reports.

The work is the latest in a series of emergency pothole repairs that Caltrans has done this winter in the stretch of 101 where the road is being widened to three lanes in each direction. The past work had backed up southbound traffic into central Santa Rosa.

The repairs require crews to shut one of the two lanes in the construction zone, and the latest estimate of completion is 1 p.m. Initially, Caltrans had estimated 11:30 a.m.pairs there.

The CHP said traffic is coming to a complete halt south of Todd Road as drivers merge into one lane to go through the construction area.
