Relief is coming this summer for some local drivers tired of banged up roads.

Federal money saved from road projects around the state has been funneled to Sonoma County for four repaving projects:

–Leveroni Road, from Arnold Drive to the Sonoma city limits.

–Bodega Highway, from Jonive Road to Sexton Road.

–Mark West Springs Road, from about Leslie Road west for a short stretch.

–Bennett Valley Road, from Grange Road to the Santa Rosa city limits..

Steve Urbanek, pavement preservation manager for the county Transportation and Public Works Department, said the work is costing a total of $2.5 million, Ghilotti Construction is the contractor and should start around late May or early June.
