Caltrans this week and next plans to repaving Highway 29 from Tubbs Lane to High Street in Calistoga.
Work will be 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Crews already have been grinding off the top layer of pavement.
Caltrans spokesman Marcus Wagner said traffic delays are expected and suggested motorists find an alternate route if necessary.
