Road work continues this week on Adobe Road from Old Redwood Highway in Penngrove to Corona Road near Petaluma, so avoid it if you can.

Today through Wednesday, the Sonoma County Transportation and Public Works Department says, crews will be grinding down the pavement and doing other prep work for repaving that is scheduled to start Thursday.

Work hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The department expects Adobe Road will be closed at times during the work; otherwise, it’ll be one-way traffic controls. In any event, you can expect traffic delays all week.

The repaving is expected to take Thursday, Friday and at least Monday to complete, perhaps sliding into Tuesday.
