Here’s a question from a Road Warrior reader:

Do you have any idea how long the repairs on Hwy. 128 between Healdsburg and Calistoga are going to last? They’ve been working on two bridges on that stretch of road for over two years now, with stoplights holding back traffic at the bridge sites where there is only one lane. Half the time we go through there’s not even anyone working at the site. It has added well over half an hour to the drive. Thanks, Kate

The answer:

Caltrans spokesman Robert Haus said construction crews are down to just the striping of the road at the Redwood and Maacama Creek bridges. That work should be done by Nov. 18, weather permitting, and the one-way traffic controls will be lifted.
