Here’s a question from a Road Warrior reader;

I’m curious as to what happened to the 45 MPH speed limit signs on Mirabel Rd. in Forestville. From Hwy. 116 there used to be at least 2 45 MPH signs before the 35 MPH sign that is situated near the bottom of the hill just before Speers Market. That whole stretch of Mirabel has no speed limit signs at all on either side of the road. Valerie

The answer comes from Rob Silva, road department operations manager of the Sonoma County Department of Transportation and Public Works:

I spoke with my traffic foreman yesterday (Monday) and he drove out to Mirabel Rd to have a look. The 45 MPH are designated at post mile 10.05 (entering northbound from Hwy 116) and post mile 11.02 (entering southbound from River Rd). Additionally, two 35 MPH are posted in both directions near Speers Market and an additional 35 MPH breaking the top of the hill northbound driving toward River Rd. Upon our foreman’s inspection, the 45 MPH was down at the Hwy 116 end. All other signs were standing. He had a crew respond yesterday afternoon with a new post and sign.
