Caltrans has pushed back its opening of the extra lanes between Rohnert Park Expressway south to Petaluma Boulevard North.
Spokesman Robert Haus said the delay was because of weather issues.
Instead of opening Wednesday, Haus said the southbound lane may open on Saturday and northbound lane on Tuesday.
You can tell the lanes are getting close to opening. The soundwalls in Cotati appear to be finished, and the third lane has been striped in both directions but is coned off for now. Progress.

Not Quite Striped
Lane striping is not done yet on southbound 101 between the rest area and Pepper Road– at least one-half mile of 101 South. (This is as of today- Tuesday – at 2:30pm.)
Also, although third lane may open soon, construction continues on sound wall between Pepper Road and Pet Blvd North.

The paving is still really rough where barriers and lane markings were moved around on the Cotati grade. Any plans to repave?
