Police across Sonoma County will be out in force this weekend looking for drunken drivers.

On Friday night, two DUI/license checkpoints will be held by the county’s Avoid the 13 anti-DUI task force, which involves all of the police agencies in the county.

Then on Saturday night, Santa Rosa police will hold a separate DUI checkpoint from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. in the city. Like Friday night’s checkpoints, police aren’t saying where those operations will be.

In addition, the Avoid the 13 task force will have officers out Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights on roving patrols looking for DUI suspects.

And the CHP will have all available officers out on the roads from 6 p.m. Friday to 11:59 p.m. Monday for one of its Maximum Enforcement Periods held regularly throughout the year.
