Here are road projects planned this week in our area:

–Bodega Avenue. Sonoma County roads crews will grind out damaged pavement and then repave sections of the road, starting Monday between Spring Hill and Pepper roads. After finishing that stretch, the crews will move to between Pepper and Middle Two Rock roads. One-lane traffic controls with some traffic delays.

–Drake Road in Guerneville. Closed starting Monday to allow crews to remove and rebuilt a bridge viaduct. Expected to be closed for a few days until new supports are installed. Project to last through July.

–Porter Creek Road. Crews will continue repaving damaged sections between Mark West Springs and Petrified Forest roads.

–Highway 20, starting Monday, Caltrans plans to repave about 16 miles of the road from about seven miles east of Fort Bragg to about six miles west of Willits. One-way traffic control will be in effect 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays. The work is being split into two projects, with the second project set to start in early July.

–Highway 101, Caltrans crews will be repairing a slide north of Cloverdale in an area near Frog Woman Rock, formerly known as Squaw Rock. Northbound traffic will be down to one lane, 24/7. This is a regular problem area, with crews doing spot grinding and repaving. Caltans spokesman Phil Frisbie Jr. says a permanent fix is a year or two away.

–Highway 128, Caltrans plans routine maintenance from Elkhorn Creek to the Mendocino-Sonoma County line, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. One-way traffic control will be in effect, with 10-minute delays possible.
