SMART rail work will close Sebastopol Road in Santa Rosa this Tuesday through Friday at the train tracks.

It’s part of the rail district upgrading the tracks through Sonoma County. Crews are going through the county tearing out the old crossings and putting in new track. To do so, they need to shut all lanes at the crossing.

To detour around the closure, take West Third Street to the north or Barham Avenue to the south.

Next week, Aug. 13 to 15, crews will shut West Robles Avenue in Santa Rosa for the rail work.
