The increased census of Sonoma County requires massive checkpoints to control the impaired drivers.
During the holidays, three to five out of ten on p.m.'s and weekends maybe H.B.D.'s.
Not acceptable what-so-ever.
Today's dangerously high accident and severe injury census requires more checkpoints.
Be prepared. Carry flares, first aid kit, blanket, water.

Sonoma County officers have been cracking down on DUIs for about four years now. No wonder burglaries in Petaluma have steadily increased. Oh thats right, they dont get paid overtime for this type of police work.

My gosh, get out the whips, another "CRACKDOWN" Does this not imply this must be following a period of permissiveness? Should not the CHP and all law enforcement be consistently and diligently enforcing DUI and all traffic laws?
I don't need to drive much these days but when I do drive it's only a matter of minutes before I see one violation after another and it is disturbing.
Law enforcement would do well to remember it is our tax dollars that ultimately pay their salary. They need to stop beating people up as seen on TV and You-tube and get busy on the day-to-day traffic violations.
