Caltrans this week plans the following lane closures in Sonoma County:

Highway 1:

–One-way traffic control between Fort Ross Road and and Meyers Grade Road because of part of the road has slipped away.

Highway 101:

–9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday,  one lane closed from Fulton onramp to Windsor River Road, which is the downtown Windsor exit.

–7 to 10 p.m. Monday to Thursday, one lane closed from Fulton onramp to Windsor River Road.

–10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday to Thursday, two lanes closed from Fulton onramp to Windsor River Road.

–8 to 11 p.m. Friday, one lane closed between Fulton onramp and Windsor River Road and 11 p.m.to  7 a.m. two lanes closed.

–7 to 10 a.m. and 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, one lane closed between Fulton onramp and Windsor River Road.

–11 p.m. to 8 a.m. Saturday, two lanes closed from Fulton onramp to Windsor River Road.

–8 to 10 a.m. and 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday, one lane closed from Fulton onramp to Windsor River Road. Two lanes closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

A Caltrans spokesman said he thought these 101 lane closures were related to the agency’s pre-construction work on redoing the Airport Boulevard interchange but didn’t know exactly why the lanes have to be closed. It’s a bit of a mystery because Airport Boulevard is at the southern end of these closures and Windsor River Road is a few miles to the north.
