Porter Creek Road will be closed between 7:30 and 9:30 a.m. Friday, June 28, to redrill the CIDH pile that flooded on Tuesday, according to an alert issued Thursday by the Sonoma County Department of Transportation and Public Works. Crews are part way through a three-week project that involves drilling piles for a new bridge across Porter Creek.

Porter Creek Road is one of two routes across the Mayacamas to Calistoga. Officials suggest using Calistoga Road as an alternate route during construction. The new bridge should be finshed by spring 2014. Read more about the bridge replacement project HERE.
