Night closures in Petaluma on Highway 101 at the Old Redwood Highway are scheduled this week. In Sonoma County, road crews are busy with chip seal, paving and striping jobs this week, in addition to building guard rails on Fulton Road and continuing the bridge building on Porter Creek Road.

Highway 101 closures

Caltrans will close up to two lanes of northbound and southbound Highway 101 at the Old Redwood Highway Interchange 10 p.m.-5 a.m. Tuesday through Friday. At least one lane will remain open in each direction at all times. During those hours on Tuesday and Wednesday, the northbound off-ramp and on-ramps at Old Redwood Highway will be closed. Motorists can use the E. Washington Street interchange instead.

Sonoma County road projects

Rob Silva reports that on Wednesday, road crews will be applying a double chip seal to the lower rebuilt section of Lichau Rd off Roberts Rd east of Cotati. Crews spent Tuesday doing final grading and compacting to prepare the surface for tomorrow’s treatment, and will be sweeping loose chips on Thursday. Posted message boards are notifying traffic of upcoming delays.

The Bridge crew will continue work this week on the Graton Road Fish Restoration Project at Purrington Creek. Work is west of Green Hill Rd and scheduled to continue through Oct. 15. Cal Fire crews are scheduled to assist with roadside brush removal along Lawndale Rd and West Dry Creek Rd today and Wednesday.

Here is a listing of scheduled contract construction road projects this week that will affect traffic. All projects can expect 20 – 30 minute traffic delays:

Mark West Springs: Porter Creek Rd Bridge Replacement Project – bridge deck and retaining wall construction, 7 am – 7 pm through Friday. One lane traffic controls.

Santa Rosa: Fulton Rd overlay – guard rail construction between Hart Ln and Hwy 101 overcrossing, 7am – 5pm daily.

Sonoma: Arnold Dr at Agua Caliente Roundabout – paving this week, 7am – 5pm. One lane traffic controls.

Rohnert Park: Stony Point Rd, Rohnert Park Expressway to SR city limits – striping. 7 am – 5 pm.

Rohnert Park: Snyder Ln, Petaluma Hill Rd to Rohnert Park city limits – striping, 7 am – 5 pm.

West County: Bodega Hwy, Jonive Rd to Hwy 1 – striping. 7 am – 5 pm.

Petaluma: Chileno Valley Rd, Western Ave to county line – striping. 7am – 5 pm.

Penngrove: Main St. – Old Redwood Hwy to Adobe Rd, traffic striping, 7 am – 5 pm.

Penngrove/Cotati: Petaluma Hill Rd, Adobe Rd to E. Cotati – striping layout. 7am – 5 pm.

Healdsburg: West Dry Creek Rd – striping layout, 7 am – 5 pm.

Healdsburg: Lytton Springs Rd – striping layout. 7 am – 5 pm.

Geyserville Ave, Hwy 128 to Hwy 101 – striping. 7 am – 5 pm.
