The Petaluma Police Department will be conducting two DUI and driver’s license checkpoints 6 p.m.-3 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at undisclosed locations to detect and deter impaired driving and suspended/unlicensed drivers.

These operations are being conducted to raise the awareness of the dangers of impaired driving by educating motorists, arresting impaired drivers and suspended/unlicensed drivers. Funding comes from a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
