A task force of 13 Sonoma County law enforcement agencies known as Avoid the 13 has wrapped up it’s holiday DUI enforcement campaign, which yielded 154 DUI arrests.
There were no fatal DUI collisions during the holiday period from Dec. 13 to Jan. 1, but there were eight DUI collisions resulting in 11 injuries. There is evidence that the increased enforcement is working. In the last six years, alcohol involved fatal and injury collisions have been reduced by 75 percent annually county-wide.
