Bill Roan, the creator of the Bay Bridge Troll, would like to celebrate the one year anniversary of the span in style. Though the troll was removed from the bridge during construction of the new span, Roan will make another one for anyone who will sponsor a party in honor of the bridge:

I want to put forth a challenge to any wealthy organization, corporation or individual who would like to sponsor a bridge walk and fireworks display this Labor Day, the one-year anniversary of the bridge opening or Oct. 17, the 25th anniversary of the earthquake. This will not come cheap; Cal Trans was going to spend $1.5 to $2 million on a world-class fireworks celebration.

In exchange, I will create for you your own Troll. This will not be a copy of the Bay Bridge Troll, nor can you use the words Bridge or Bay Bridge in your Troll’s title. Instead this is your troll, inspired by your needs. Maybe your troll needs to scare away earthquakes, politicians and other evil spirits.

Imagine walking with your family across the Bay Bridge during your sponsored celebration, surrounded by your friends, with a cart and your troll bolted to it, being pulled by three Billy Goats. Your Troll will not be created through the power and negative energy of an earthquake, but infused with the joy and luck of celebration and a sense of renewal and resiliency of all Californians.
