As Kaiser Permanente’s Santa Rosa campus grows, so do the traffic woes. It’s difficult for patients to get into and out of the campus without delay. We’re still waiting for a response from Kaiser Permanente representatives to this question from Road Warrior reader Judson, but city traffic engineers say they are well aware of the problem. Planning to drive through the intersection of Stony Point and Sebastopol roads in Santa Rosa? Better be careful. It again ranks No. 1 in the city for highest number of reported collisions. Here’s a question from a reader: Can you tell me anything as to why Stony Point Road between Sebastopol Road and Hearn/Bellevue area is so thrashed and why little to no work is done on it? I’m also curious if you wouldn’t mind posting about a very troublesome intersection at Hearn and Stony Point where motorists seem unfamiliar with the responsibilities of yielding to ALL traffic when turning left at a solid green light. SRPD targets northern intersection

Santa Rosa traffic police officers this Monday through Sunday are scheduled to monitor one of the city’s ninth most dangerous intersections — Mendocino Avenue at Bicentennial Way, which last year was tied with seven traffic collisions. The ‘e’ is back in Steele Lane

The “e” is back in Steele, as in the Steele Lane exit sign hanging over southbound Highway 101 from the Bicentennial Way overpass. Caltrans apparently first learned that the sign was misspelled “Steel Lane” last December — see photo above — after inquiries from the Road Warrior and The Press Democrat.
