Gas prices may be at record high in Santa Rosa

Sonoma County drivers very likely may be paying record high prices for gas. AAA on Friday reported that its price survey on Thursday showed the average price for regular in the Santa Rosa area was $4.513 a gallon — just 4 cents shy of the record of $4.55 set on June 19, 2008. Gas finally below $4 in Santa Rosa

The average price of regular gasoline fell overnight in Santa Rosa to less than $4 a gallon but still higher than the statewide average. AAA reported Friday that the average Santa Rosa price was $3.997, down from Thursday’s $4.016. But, according to gasbuddy.com, you can gas for as low as $3.89 at the Arco stations at Fourth Street and Brookwood Avenue and at Cleveland and College avenues and at the Santa Rosa Costco.
