Questions from our readers: What’s up with the dirt/concrete pile along 101? Getting to certain parts of San Francisco is going to be trickier this weekend because Doyle Drive will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Crews need the time to demolish parts of the 70-year-old, 1.5-mile-long link from the Golden Gate Bridge to the city’s Marina District and to allow traffic to be shifted to a temporary bypass. Hwy. 1 in SF to be closed Saturday night

Going to San Francisco on Saturday night? Construction crews replacing Doyle Drive will have Highway 1/Park Presidio Boulevard closed in both directions from 8 p.m. Saturday to 11 a.m. Sunday to allow them to move north and southbound lanes onto a new bridge just south of Doyle Drive.
