Mailbag: Status report on Farmers Lane extension

Like so many other things, Santa Rosa’s traffic relief comes in small bites when permits have been issued and money is available, leaving some projects lined up behind those with higher priority. South Santa Rosa intersection getting extra police attention

Santa Rosa police this coming week will monitor one of the city’s most collision-prone intersections — Corby Avenue at Hearn Avenue, which  last year was tied for third with 10 collisions. As part of a weekly, Monday through Friday, special enforcement program, Officer Jeff Adams says officers particularly will be looking for drivers not wearing seat belts, who are illegally using cellphones, are speeding, running red lights or committing lane violations. Santa Rosa’s 25 dangerous intersections

Planning to drive through the intersection of Stony Point and Sebastopol roads in Santa Rosa? Better be careful. It again ranks No. 1 in the city for highest number of reported collisions.
