Petaluma trying to rid city of abandoned vehicles

An average of more than 100 complaints a month about abandoned vehicles — cars, trucks, boats, trailers, RVs and more — come into Petaluma police, and on Wednesday the city is taking action. Five-peat for Petaluma police

It’s a five-peat for Petaluma police. For the fifth year in a row, the department was honored by the California Law Enforcement Challenge  for having the best  program of cracking down on impaired drivers among the state’s police departments. DUI crackdown this St. Patrick’s weekend

Extra police officers will out on patrol this weekend looking for DUI drivers. It’s part of Sonoma County’s anti-DUI Avoid the 13 task force, and it’s being conducted this weekend because Saturday is St. Patrick’s Day, a time when some people celebrate a bit too much and then drive.
