Sonoma County’s top cop in DUI arrests

If you’re drinking and driving, Dan Hackett is looking for you. If he finds you, you’re going to jail. The 34-year-old Santa Rosa police officer was No. 1 last year among Sonoma County officers in the number of DUI arrests with 112. Anti-DUI task force gets $300,000

Sonoma County’s anti-DUI campaign will continue after the state awarded a $300,000 grant for the Avoid the 13 task force. The task force, which includes all police agencies in the county and is coordinated by Petaluma police, had a three-year grant of $659,000 that ended Sept. 30. The money pays for various anti-DUI operations, such as checkpoints and saturation patrols, and covers the overtime of officers participating in the operations. Petaluma Sgt. CHP officer No. 1 in DUI arrests

CHP Officer Michael Ball is a DUI magnet. Last year, he arrested 69 DUI suspects — the most of any police officer in Sonoma County. Santa Rosa Police Officer Hiroshi Yaguchi was No. 2 with 68.
