Dumbarton Bridge closed this weekend

The 30-year-old Dumbarton Bridge in the South Bay will be closed this Memorial Day weekend to allow construction crews to continue an earthquake-retrofit project. The 1.6-mile bridge, which carries an average of 61,000 vehicles a day across San Francisco Bay from Menlo Park to Fremont, is scheduled to be closed from 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Tuesday, opening just in time for commuters.
