Another way to fix crosswalks?

Just before 9 a.m. Sunday, a 97-year-old visually impaired woman was struck while trying to cross East Washington Street at Elly Boulevard South in Petaluma. Petaluma Police officers found her in the crosswalk with moderate injuries, along with a 62-year-old driver who told them she hadn’t seen the pedestrian until the collision occurred. Meet county’s anti-DUI boss

Ken Savano doesn’t mind if you’re out on the town and have a drink or so. Traffic safety awards for local police

Three Sonoma County police departments were honored recently by the state for their overall traffic safety programs and enforcement of traffic laws last year. Petaluma police received first place among those departments with 51 to 60 officers, Santa Rosa earned second place among the 165 to 250 officer group and Sebastopol was second place among departments of 1 to 18 officers.
