Traffic delays likely this week in Bennett Valley, Petaluma, on Highway 101

Here’s some road projects that may cause some traffic delays: –In Bennett Valley, if it doesn’t rain as some forecasts expect, the Sonoma County roads department on Monday plans to grind down Bennett Valley Road west of Sonoma Mountain Road and then repave it. Mailbag: Bicyclists, pedestrians getting tickets; Todd Road merging

Here are questions from Road Warrior readers: Adrienne wrote in to report that she had read on KRCB radio’s Facebook page an account of a Santa Rosa police officer stopping bicyclists on Humboldt Avenue for not coming to a complete stop at stop signs. According to the posting, the officer said he was instructed to use “maximum enforcement” in wake of the recent local deaths of bicyclists in accidents with cars. SMART work shuts Todd Road this weekend

SMART rail work will close Todd Road in south Santa Rosa this weekend, starting Friday night and continuing through Sunday, at the train tracks. It’s part of the rail district upgrading the tracks through Sonoma County. Crews are going through the county tearing out the old crossings and putting in new track. SMART rail work will close West Robles Avenue in south Santa Rosa  on  Monday through Wednesday at the train tracks. It’s part of the rail district upgrading the tracks through Sonoma County.
