Flooding shuts Sonoma County roads

Road work, traffic delays this week in county

Sonoma County’s roads department plans some projects this week that likely will cause traffic delays: –Mirabel Road, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, crews will grind out damaged sections of the road between Nolan and River roads and then repave them. One-way-traffic control will be in effect. Roads that may flood — beware!

You almost always can count on the same stretches of roads across the county to flood during a heavy rainstorm, so here’s a list of roads to avoid during today’s storm and future gully washers.
