Last storm-closed roads open

The last two roads in Sonoma County closed by the aftermath of last weekend’s storms reopened Tuesday, the county roads department says. Wohler Road had been flooded at River Road, and Trenton Road was flooded between Laguna and River roads. 3 county roads to avoid this week

Three Sonoma County road projects this week are expected to cause minor traffic delays, and the county roads department suggests you find an alternate route if possible: –Bodega Highway, from Spring Hill to Ferguson roads, today through Thursday, crews will grind out deteriorated pavement and put down new asphalt. –Calistoga Road, from Porter Creek to Plum Ranch roads, crews today and Tuesday will be clearing ditches and landslides and then Wednesday and Thursday will be doing paving work. –Westside Road,… Read More »

Roads that may flood — beware!

You almost always can count on the same stretches of roads across the county to flood during a heavy rainstorm, so here’s a list of roads to avoid during today’s storm and future gully washers.
