Another small piece of the Sonoma-Marin Narrows Highway 101 project opened this morning. Caltrans said the northbound off-ramp at the new Petaluma Boulevard South/Kastania Road interchange is now open to traffic.
Caltrans today opened a new offramp at Petaluma Boulevard South. Contractor Ghilotti Bros. completed the southbound offramp nearly three weeks early.
The new overpass and southbound 101 onramp are not temporary. It is part of a $130 million project to widen the Petaluma River Bridge and remake the interchange with Petaluma Boulevard South.
Lane closures are announced at Lakeville Road and Petaluma Blvd. South, also part of the Marin-Sonoma Narrows project.
