Caltrans today said it had made an error in its announcement of the pile driving under way on Highway 101 in Rohnert Park and Cotati. Instead of starting at 9 a.m., the work really is starting at 7 a.m. But if you’re in Rohnert Park or Cotati, you already know that.

The pile driving at 101 and 116 in Cotati and at 101 and Golf Course Drive in Rohnert Park is suppose to end at 3:30 p.m. each day. The work is to continue Monday through Friday for the next two to three weeks.

The work is the first step in building new overpasses for 101 at each spot. The existing overpass at 116 is being rebuilt and a new one will take shape at Golf Course Drive, which will connect with Wilfred Avenue when the entire 101 widening project is finished in a couple of years.
