Caltrans tonight is closing one lane of Highway 101 at varying locations in the Rohnert Park-Cotati construction zone as crews battle persistent pothole problems.

Tonight’s closures start at 9 o’clock and are expected to be completed by 5 a.m. Thursday.

Caltrans said crews will make repairs at various spots in both southbound and northbound lanes between Pepper Road and Rohnert Park Expressway, thus the lane being closed will vary based on where the work is being done.

Also being closed tonight will be one lane of Highway 116 in both directions near where it crosses under Highway 101 in Cotati, also for pothole repairs.

On Thursday and Friday, one lane of Highway 116 will be closed in each direction under Highway 101 for falsework installation as crews work on building a new 101 overpass. Those lanes will be closed 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Caltrans said if crews aren’t able to finish the work, they’ll continue it Monday and Tuesday and the lanes will be closed again all day.
