Caltrans announced this afternoon that it’s delaying tonight’s expected traffic shift on northbound Highway 101 in Cotati because of this week’s rains, and other lane shifts also are being pushed back.

Northbound traffic now is scheduled to shift lanes Monday night, moving onto a new overpass over Highway 116 in Cotati as part of the widening of the road, Caltrans spokesman Robert Haus said.

Then on Tuesday night, southbound traffic is to shift onto the median overpass at 116 to allow crews to build a new southbound overpass. It had been set for Friday night.

Next week at Railroad Avenue in Cotati, southbound traffic is scheduled to shift to a new overpass on the night of June 8 and northbound will shift to the middle lanes the night of June 9.
