A week after northbound Highway 101 traffic was shifted onto the new Wilfred Avenue-Commerce Boulevard overpass in Rohnert Park, Caltrans on Friday night will move southbound traffic onto it.

The process begins at 10 p.m. and is expected to be completed by early morning Saturday. The southbound Santa Rosa Avenue onramp also will reopen tonight.

The next step for construction crews widening 101 there is to demolish the old overpass over Commerce. To do that, Commerce under 101 will be closed from Aug. 1 to 12.
