Santa Rosa police won’t have far to go to enforce traffic violations at one of the city’s most dangerous intersections. It’s right out the police station’s front doors.

Traffic officers this Monday through Sunday are scheduled to monitor Sonoma Avenue at Brookwood Avenue, which last year was tied with six traffic collisions as the city’s 10th most dangerous intersection.

As part of a weekly special enforcement program, officers particularly will be looking for drivers not wearing seat belts, who are illegally using cell phones, are speeding, running red lights or committing lane violations.
